Dawn Zacharias is a lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Pittsburgh. They began their career at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and they have been shooting professionally in the region since 2005. Having always been drawn to portraiture, they developed their signature style in dynamic settings, highlighting movement and the human form in vibrant natural and urban landscapes. Dawn applies this energetic style to a variety of lifestyle projects, from depicting artists and professionals at work to chronicling life’s most important moments. Their photos are vivid, raw, and un-retouched, capturing the spark, spunk, and joy of living.



A queer, non-binary person, Dawn is passionate about the power of photography to support all expressions of identity and promote positive self-definition. They believe that a photograph can be a transformative moment of feeling seen. They find joy in the relationships that they build with new and longstanding clients, and they have been delighted to see their work reach an ever-growing community.
